White Hot, a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel original which filmed in Langley, Maple Ridge and Mission throughout January will premiere on Sunday, April 17th at 9pm. Check out the official trailer for the movie below.
White Hot is the film adaptation of the 2004 book of the same name written by #1 New York Times Best Selling Author Sandra Brown. The book takes place in a small “sweltering hot” fictitious town in Louisiana called Destiny. Not quite the weather you’d expect to see in Vancouver during January when the movie was filmed.
The story follows the main character Sayre Hoyle who is played by Shenae Grimes-Beech (90210, Degrassi: The Next Generation). Sayre returns to her hometown after 10 years to look into the suspicious death of a family member.
As she attempts to unravel the mystery, tension between her, her father and brother is reignited. If that weren’t enough, she finds herself attracted to their corporate attorney, Beck Merchant, who is played by Sean Faris (Pretty Little Liars, Never Back Down).
Behind the camera for White Hot was Mark Jean (Director), Shawn Williamson (Executive Producer) and Jamie Goehring (Producer).

Fun Fact: Although not technically among the cast, the book’s author, Sandra Brown makes a cameo appearance in the fish shack scene.
