Drone Sean Bean

This week, indie-feature Drone (aka Incursion) with Sean Bean, Lifetime’s Death of a Vegas Showgirl with Fiona Vroom and Every Christmas Has a Story with Lori Loughlin start filming in Vancouver and British Columbia.

Drone (aka Incursion) (Feature)
Drone, also known as Incursion, is an indie political thriller starring Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings Series). If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you’ll also know Sean from his portrayal of the beloved Ned Stark. Other notable cast includes Mary McCormack (In Plain Sight), Joel David Moore (Bones, Avatar), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash) and up-and-comer Maxwell Haynes.

Drone was written by Jason Bourque, Ian Birkett, Paul A. Birkett and Roger Patterson for Telefilm and Myriad Pictures. It centres around an unlikely meeting between a military drone contractor and a Pakistani businessman.

Drone will be filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until June 25th.

Death of a Vegas Showgirl (TV Movie)
As the title suggests, this Lifetime original TV movie takes a look into the “Death of a Vegas Showgirl”. The film is being directed by Toronto/Vancouver native Penelope Buitenhuis who is best known for directing several episodes of the TV series Paradise Falls. Vancouver-based actress Fiona Vroom plays Roxie. If you’re a fan of Bates Motel, you’ll recognize Fiona from several appearances as ‘Vicky’ from Pineview Institute.

Fiona has also appeared in many other productions filmed in the Vancouver area including two Garage Sale Mystery movies alongside Full House star Lori Loughlin and A Time To Dance. Fiona will be joined by Arleo Dordar (Minority Report) and BC’s own Aaron Pearl (X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand) who play Dominic Roberts and Detective Nelson respectively.

Death of a Vegas Showgirl will be filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until June 20th.

Every Christmas Has a Story (aka The Christmas Makeover) (TV Movie)
Every Christmas Has a Story is part of Hallmark’s upcoming Countdown to Christmas series and features Full House/Garage Sale Mystery star Lori Loughlin and Cedar Cove‘s Colin Ferguson. The Countdown to Christmas series also includes A Wish for Christmas with Lacey Chabert/Paul Greene and A December Bride with Jessica Lowndes/Daniel Lissing; both of which also filmed in Vancouver and area recently. The series will air throughout July.

Here’s the official synopsis of Every Christmas Has a Story from Hallmark:
When a TV personality (Loughlin) has an on-air snafu and admits she hates Christmas, she is invited to the Most Christmas-y town in the US to try and repair her image. Forced to work with her ex-boyfriend Jack (Ferguson), the show’s producer, the magic of Christmas and this special town will change the way she views Christmas and her life.

Every Christmas Has a Story will be filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until June 28th.
