This week The Ninth Passenger from Victoria-born filmmaker Corey Large and Supernatural Season 12 start filming in Vancouver and British Columbia.
The Ninth Passenger (Feature)
The story follows a group of friends who set out on a boating trip in the waters off the coast of Vancouver Island. Things take a drastic turn for the worse after they learn of an unexpected “Ninth Passenger” that has joined them. Having the movie take place on/around Vancouver Island is a nice nod to writer/producer Corey Large’s hometown of Victoria.
The majority of The Ninth Passenger will be filmed in Victoria and surrounding areas on Vancouver Island with scenes being shot out in open water and some in the Lower Mainland. In an interview with Variety.com, Corey mentioned that The Ninth Passenger is just the first of many productions that his company (308 Entertainment) plans to bring to the area.
