UnREAL Season 4 (TV Series)

Although season 3 hasn’t premiered yet, UnREAL season 4 started filming in Vancouver and area this week. The popular Lifetime series wrapped up production on its third season this past May, but viewers will have to wait until February 26th to watch the drama unfold.

The series is centred around Shiri Appleby (Swimfan, Life Unexpected) and Constance Zimmer (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., House of Cards) who play Rachel and Quinn. Together they’re the masterminds behind UnREAL’s show-within-a-show called “Everlasting”. It closely parodies The Bachelor/Bachelorette, unmasking the fact that there’s more than meets the eye happening behind the scenes of ‘reality’ shows.

There hasn’t been any announcements in terms of cast or what to expect from UnREAL season 4 so far, but more information will likely surface as production continues.

Update 10/24/2017: As expected, Lifetime released casting announcements for UnREAL season 4 in short order after production began. According to Deadline.com, joining the cast for this season are: François Arnaud (The Borgias; Midnight, Texas), Natalie Hall (Drop Dead Diva, True Blood), Meagan Holder (Pitch, You Again), Alejandro Muñoz (Ein Sommer in Barcelona), Meghan Heffern (Designated Survivor, What If), Christopher Russell (Star Trek: Discovery, Land of the Dead) and Alli Chung (Dark Matter, The Expanse).

In the meantime, check out the trailer for UnREAL season 3 which was released on October 17th

UnREAL season 4 will continue filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until January 25th.

Courage to Soar: The Simone Biles Story (TV Movie)

Another Lifetime channel project starts filming in Vancouver this week called Courage to Soar: The Simone Biles Story. The TV movie showcases the life of the 20 year old Olympic gold-medal gymnast from Columbus, Ohio. According to Deadline.com, the script will be based on Simone’s book called Courage to Soar: A Body in Motion, A Life in Balance which was released last November. Simone will serve as executive producer for the movie.

Actress Kathleen Rose Perkins (Episodes, Colony) posted a picture on Twitter revealing that she’ll be portraying USA Gymnastics Head Olympic Coach Aimee Boorman while up-and-comer Jeanté Godlock is playing the titular character of Simone Biles.

Deadline.com later announced that Kelsey Scott (How to Get Away With Murder) joined the cast as Simone’s biological mother. Julius Tennon (How to Get Away with Murder) and Tisha Campbell-Martin (My Wife and Kids) will portray Simone’s parents, Ron and Nellie Biles respectively.

Courage to Soar is the latest of a series of Lifetime biopics that have filmed in the Vancouver area including The Lost Wife of Robert Durst and I Am Elizabeth Smart, Cocaine Godmother and Menedez: Blood Brothers.

Courage to Soar: The Simone Biles Story will continue filming in Vancouver and British Columbia until November 15th and will premiere in 2018 on Lifetime.
