Travelers Season 3 (TV Series)

Travelers season 3 was officially announced on March 18th and production began in Delta yesterday. Although the first 2 seasons were a joint venture between Showcase in Canada and Netflix globally, Travelers season 3 will be released exclusively by Netflix.

Although no premiere date was mentioned in the press release, the production dates lineup nearly identically with the first two seasons, suggesting it may follow the same mid-late fall premiere schedule. Series lead Eric McCormack mentioned that it would be coming “late this year” in a tweet he shared of Nesta Cooper and MacKenzie Porter during their first day back on set.

Eric McCormack is set to direct the first episode of season 3, picking up where he left off with the season 2 finale, which he also directed. Although Travelers season 3 marks the departure from Showcase, Eric proudly underscored the show’s “all-Canadian” pedigree in the press release:

”I am so proud of this show, particularly that it’s all-Canadian. From our devoted Vancouver crew, to an uber-talented young cast who hail from Alberta, BC, Manitoba and Ontario, to my producing partners and our Toronto roots, Travelers is a series as Canadian in its creation, as it is global in scope.”

Travelers season 3 will continue filming in Vancouver and area until July 5th.

Valley of the Boom – Season 1 (TV Series)

Valley of the Boom is a new 6-episode series for National Geographic set in California’s Silicon Valley tech hub in the 1990s. According to TVLine.com, the series is focused on the “tech boom” and will explore the creators, influencers, and brands that developed out of the area during that time.

Steve Zahn, who just wrapped up his new series The Crossing in the Vancouver area recently, has been cast as one of the leads on Valley of the Boom. He’ll be joined by New Girl star Lamorne Morris, Bradley Whitford (West Wing), John Karna (Scream), Oliver Cooper (Red Oaks) and Dakota Shapiro (The Affair).

Valley of the Bloom season 1 will continue filming in Vancouver and area until May 28th and is expected to premiere in 2019 on the National Geographic channel.
